My kitchen sink kept getting clogged and I forgot I had bought these. It dawned on me today to use one on my kitchen sink before doing my laundry. I have a portable washer I use in my apartment and needless to say, it never crossed my mind to clear out the drain every now and then! So as you can see from the picture, there was quite a bit of gunk trapped in the drain. I am going to say, this is probably from threads, lint and such from the clothing that got past the washer filter. This also explains why the sink also backed up when I ran the disposal! YIKES!! I used my plunger to unclog it a few days ago but this works much better. I will be getting a strainer for my drain though but in the future I will run the snake down every now and then just to make sure!
