I’ve had this for a couple of year, which I use to break up plastic pellets in railcars. As for effectiveness, I give it an A . However, it has fallen apart from hard use. The polyurethane on both sides of where the hammer comes to blow has worn off. The steel shot is long gone and it needs replacement. The length of the hammer is it’s best feature. 40” is above and beyond and that really matters to me. I’ll be buying the same replacement even though I’m not exactly happy with its sturdiness at the polyurethane head.
