Bought my first RAZ snow globe at a high end gift shop for $42 and they included the three batteries. Just love it, Santa – giving to five year old granddaughter. I had a gift shop for 32 years so I know the RAZ quality. Made in China, unfortunately. Found the second snow globe, exactly like the first on Amazon for $34, snowman and other cuties, for $34 and it not only has the constantly moving glitter snow, but this one is musical. Just wonderful, so pleased. Putting off sending as GMa loves watching them too. Highly recommend. The lantern according to the description is plastic but it looks like metal, painted in a flat matte black. Joan from Colorado
