Astromania AccuFocus Electronic Telescope Focuser

The media could not be loaded.Being in the cold North East I purchased these to get to a point where I could do almost all of my Astrophotography over a RemoteDesktop Connection from indoors. I had looked into many very expensive setups from a multitude of vendors. I wanted to try and do this as inexpensively as possible. After much research and good review I purchased the first of these 3 units and installed one on my AT72EDii refractor. The install was not seamless as the bracket holes simply did not match up anywhere on my refractor, some MacGyvering later I got it to function quite well. I ordered 2 more and they arrived on 3/18/19 and I just added one to my 8″ Orion Newtonian scope with a GS0 10:1 fouser. I have connected this up to the ShoeString Astronomy FCUSB Ascom focus motor , required an additional cable from them, about $7.00 and I can know control my focusing in between targets and frames from indoors over my RemoteDesktop connection ! Now I can limit my time outside to Initial Setup and Polar Alignment, after that I can go back inside and do fine tuning on focus all night.. Very Pleased!!!
