IWC Porsche Design Ocean 2000 Symbiosis of form and function In the 1980s and 90s, the cooperation between IWC and F.A. Porsche produced timepieces that changed the perception of sports watches forever. The Reference 3504 - here in its early 1990s version - impressively demonstrates IWC's pioneering work in the processing of Titanium. The housing is made entirely of this lightweight, corrosion-resistant material and offers a then revolutionary pressure resistance of up to 200 bar (2000 meters). The dial is characterized by purist readability, protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The bezel has a non-slip design and can only be turned counter-clockwise - a safety feature for professional diving applications. The organic integration of the titanium strap into the case is particularly noteworthy. The link geometry ensures exceptional wearing comfort, while the concealed folding clasp does not interrupt the minimalist design. Inside, the reliable Caliber 37521, based on proven Swiss ebauche architecture, but refined and regulated by IWC. This example from ca. 1992 is in an excellent state of preservation with barely visible signs of wear. A service receipt from Wempe from 2015 documents the technical maintenance.
