Dwarf Tangelo Minneola – 200mm Pot
$ 34.32
Description (Citrus x tangelo) Tangelos are a cross between a mandarin and grapefruit, resulting in a very interesting fruit that tastes and smells like both. Minneola is the most well-known tangelo variety and it’s also commonly available in Australia when in season. The fruit can be round or bell-shaped with a distinct neck at the top. Its skin is loose and easy to peel (much like a mandarin) with sweet and juicy flesh that can have a slight grapefruit-like texture to it. The deep orange fruit contrasts beautifully against its glossy, green leaves, making it a really lovely looking addition to the garden. The tree is a moderate grower, though as with most dwarf forms, it will grow a bit slower than the standard version. A dwarf Tangelo will reach about 1.5 – 2m in height over its lifetime if it’s in the ground. It can also live happily in a nice large pot or tub as well.
