Air Intake Scoop and associated parts for Zetec and MZR powered F2000 cars. Compatible with any air intake manifold that will fit backing plate 17″ max length (10″ of full 4-1/2″ height before end radius). Use drop down menu to select options- either full air intake assembly or individual components. Intake Scoop & Backing Plate Scoop and backing plate is made from 100% woven carbon fiber and polished. Note that scoop and backing plate are “undrilled,” so end user will need to drill holes for air intake, bolting up, and air exit tube. If you need a backing plate or scoop that has all air and bolt holes pre-drilled, please contact us so we can verify car type and fitment. Scoop ONLY: weighs 1.1lbs 2.15″ diameter air inlet. 29″ overall length Backing plate ONLY: weighs 0.4lbs. Backing plate has 17″ max length (10″ of full 4-1/2″ height before end radius). This must fit over intake manifold/ restrictor plate. Mounting Bracket OEM bracket used steel that was too thin and broke overtime due to vibration. This improved design uses 2.25mm thick steel. Position of stainless steel 1/2″ tube that holds the air filter and acts as trapped air outlet is adjustable via socket cap allen screw. Air Filter Air filter style: Conical Length: 16″ Inlet O.D.: 4-7/8″ / 14.9″ Circumference Inlet I.D.: 3-3/4″ Outlet O.D. (Small End): 2″ Outlet I.D.: 1/2″ The small end has a 1/2″ drain opening to allow small debris and water to escape as well as allow for mounting bracket support tube fitment. Effective Filtering Area: 173 square inches (enough for a 350 V8 revving to 10,000 rpm!). Filter media is 0.52mm thick 80g spunlace non-woven 100% polyester fabric. Direct replacement of the now discontinued K&N filter 28-4125. Fits the standard intake scoop for Zetec FC’s, DP08 (original part #EPM-0003), DP02 (IMSA Lite), Ralt FA/ Super Vee. Note: (does not fit the cowl intake on Pinto-engine Van Diemen FC). Also listed solo as part 28-4125.
