After a quick inspection, I found a massive crack in this internal red/gray hose. I was worried this would be a complicated, expensive repair, but I was wrong on both counts.1. This is the REAL OEM Part:This isn’t a cheap knock-off. It’s the genuine, official Dyson part (966978-01). The materials, color, and flexible-yet-sturdy feel are identical to the original hose I removed. This is crucial for Dyson products—third-party parts often don’t fit right and can cause more suction loss. This one fit perfectly.2. Surprisingly Easy to Install:I’m not a repair expert, but I was able to do this myself in about 10-15 minutes. I found a quick video guide online. It involved laying the vacuum down, popping off the ball’s side cover (no tools needed for that), and using a T8 Torx screwdriver to remove one or two screws holding the old hose assembly. The new hose clicked right into place, I replaced the screws and cover, and that was it. The fit was exact, with no gaps.3. The Result:It’s like I have a brand-new vacuum.
